For over 85 years, the Norsemen Walker Lake Resort has provided incredible family vacations in rustic cottages nestled under the trees by the shore of pristine Walker Lake. Located just 15 minutes from Huntsville and Algonquin Park, the Norsemen Walker Lake Resort offers individually decorated one, two and three bedroom cottages that accommodate up to eight adults. Each cottage is situated in a very private, wooded environment. Dog friendly in the Spring, Fall and Winter.
Romantic getaways in Muskoka, family vacation time, reunions and special events are all possible at the Norsemen Walker Lake Resort ... your Muskoka retreat. We have canoes, kayaks, a paddle boat, fishing boats with motors, the latest stand up paddle boards and a fantastic water trampoline your kids will love. Swim and relax on our sandy beach, huge dock, and shallow, sandy private swimming area. Each of our seven cottages is beautifully situated along the shore of Walker Lake. Nestled among the trees, they all have a spectacular view of the water. We have two and three bedroom cottages in a variety of decorating styles. Each has a fully equipped kitchen, a three or four piece bath, living room, and a screened in porch or deck.
The clean sand beach offers a perfect place for the children to play in safety. Canoes, kayaks, fishing boats and stand up paddle boards are included in the price, and vehicle parking is conveniently located nearby. Free internet wifi access is provided in all cottages. From June 26 to September most cottages are available on a weekly basis only - from Saturday to Saturday. The Oak, Acorn and Maple are available on a minimum three day basis in the summer. Depending on availability we may accommodate shorter stays in other cottages in the summer. Please call for additional information. At all other times of the year shorter stays such as weekends or mid week are welcomed in all cottages. The Oak, Acorn and Pine are quaint and cozy two bedroom cottages, with a maximum occupancy of 4 people. The Oak and Acorn are close together and can be combined as a package to accommodate up to 8 people. The Maple cottage is perfect for 2 people, and is available year round. It has one bedroom, and a set of bunk beds that will accomodate 2 children. It is also equipped with a fireplace and Jacuzzi. The Spruce is also available year round. It is a three-bedroom cottage accommodating a maximum of 6 people. There is a luxurious king-size bed, wood-burning fireplace and Jacuzzi for your enjoyment. The Birch and Cedar are also available year round. They are modern two bedroom cottages with floor to cathedral ceiling glass fronts that provide a wonderful view of Walker Lake during all seasons. Thank you for booking your holiday at The Norsemen-Walker Lake Resort. Because of our small size, cancellations and changes affect us significantly and we have little chance to re-book cancelled reservations. Therefore, we must adhere to a firm deposit and cancellation policy. Deposit for all reservations is 50%. The minimum deposit is two nights. Deposit payable by credit card or cheque. Cancellations made more than 60 days before arrival date forfeit the deposit unless the accommodation is re-rented for the same time period as the original reservation. A $200.00 administration fee will apply.
Cancellation made within 60 days of arrival date are liable for the full reservation costs. This will automatically be billed to your credit card. If the accommodation is re-rented for the same time period only the deposit will be forfeited. Back to top The Birch Cottage
Is a modern, two-bedroom Viceroy building. It features a large spacious living room with brand new wood-burning Regency fireplace. The cathedral ceiling and floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall glass overlooking Walker Lake provides a beautiful view at any time of year. It feels like you're outside when you're inside. People's jaws fall when they walk in the door for the first time and see the gorgeous view.
A gas BBQ and picnic table are located on the deck outside the sliding patio door. The sand beach and the dock are just steps away.
The Cedar Cottage
Is a modern, two-bedroom Viceroy building. It features a large spacious living room with a brand new Regency wood-burning fireplace. The cathedral ceiling and floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall glass overlooking Walker Lake provides a beautiful view at any time of year. People's jaws fall when they walk in the door for the first time and see the gorgeous view.
This cottage will accommodate a maximum of 6 people, with the couch in the living room converting to a double bed. Bedroom 1 has a queen-sized bed, bedroom 2 has a king-sized bed. A gas BBQ and picnic table are located on the deck outside the sliding patio door. The sand beach and the dock are just steps away.
The Oak Cottage
The Oak is a quaint and cozy two bedroom cottage that can accommodate five people. It has one bedroom with a queen bed and one bedroom with two single beds There is a futon in the living room that can sleep the fifth person. The Oak has a screened in porch with table and chairs so you can sit outside and look at the great view of the lake. It has a full kitchen and outdoor barbeque. There is also a coffee maker, dishes, pots, pans and linens.
Bedroom 1 has a double bed. Bedroom 2 has two single beds. There is also a futon in the living room. There is a four-piece bathroom. The maximum occupancy is 5 people (including babies and children).
The Oak and Acorn cottages are a duplex, or semi-detached. Each is a completely separate accommodation with its own entrance.
The Acorn Cottage
The Acorn is a quaint and cozy two bedroom cottage that can accommodate five people. One bedroom has a queen bed, one bedroom has two single beds, and there is a futon in the living room for a fifth person. It has a separate living room with a great view of the lake, a separate kitchen and glassed in sitting area, a large outdoor deck and outdoor barbeque. It also has a coffee maker, dishes, cutlery, pots & pans, and linens.
This cottage has a 3-piece bathroom with a shower. Bedroom 1 has a queen sized bed. Bedroom 2 has two single beds. There is also a futon in the living room. Maximum occupancy is 5 people (including babies and children).

The Maple Cottage
Is a great choice for a quiet and cozy retreat. It is all wood with large wall to wall windows providing a great view of the lake. It has a wood stove, large jacuzzi tub and its own dock. New drapes, couch, tv/dvd and cozy sitting room enhance the comfortable experience. The kitchen is equipped with full-sized fridge and gas stove, coffee maker, dishes, cutlery, pots, pans and all linens except for beach towels.
A propane BBQ and picnic table are provided. There is parking nearby, and the Maple has a beautiful view of the lake through the living room windows. The beach and dock are just steps away.
The Spruce Cottage
The Spruce is our largest cottage with three bedrooms accommodating up to 8 people. One bedroom has a luxurious king-size bed, one bedroom has two double beds and the third bedroom has two single beds. Maple floors and pine walls and ceilings provide a cozy rustic experience. It has a lovely living room with wall to wall windows providing a beautiful view of the lake and woods. It also has a Jacuzzi bathtub, a wood-burning fireplace, an outdoor deck with a bbq.
Bedroom 1 has a king-size bed. Bedroom 2 has two double beds.
A propane BBQ on the deck outside your door and a picnic table are also provided. The Spruce cottage overlooks the lake, so the beach and dock are just steps away.
The Pine Cottage
The Pine is our most secluded cottage noted for its rustic ambience with pine walls and ceilings and maple floors. It is a quiet retreat off on its own at the edge of the property, overlooking the lake. You have to walk through the woods to get to it. It is very private, nestled under the trees in its own location by a point on the lake. It is full of the old Muskoka character with its pine floors, walls and ceiling, a screened in porch and its own dock.

The Norsemen is a great choice for a weekend getaway with your dog (and your husband/wife/significant other of course). Fido would love to take you for a walk on one of the many great hiking trails in Algonquin Park, just 20 minutes away. Explore the lakes, woods and wonderful smells of nature. Afterwards he or she will want to chill out and swim in the shallow, sandy dog-friendly beach. All cottages at this Muskoka resort include fully furnished kitchens, decks, bbqs and great views of the of the quiet lake. Some have wood burning fireplaces and jacuzzi tubs.
Propane BBQ's and picnic tables are located at each cottage. There is a brand new dock with Muskoka chairs, a fabulous water trampoline for the kids to play on, and a great fire pit near the shore.
